improved with successful experiences and develop their existing work.
Objectives
To enhance capacity and capability of the community based organization (CBOs)/village development committee (VDC) to lead their team effectively and well manage their existing project with effectively and efficiency.
Expected Outcomes
- Participants have ability and skill to develop their leadership skills
- Sharpen on the leadership skills, responsibilities to produce a good quality of work.
- Participants have ability to manage for basic constraints, conflict in regarding to leadership skills.
- Become more aware of and question personal, organizational, and community assumptions about how we work as development professionals in light of the need to demonstrate development result in our country.
- Be able to lead their team effectively and efficiently
- Identify opportunities where learnt principles and skills may be applied immediately in practice to work.
- Become better consumers of leadership skills /methodology in order to avoid fads, gimmicks and not repeat mistake.
- Participants have ability to develop their existing of designing, implementing and managing of their own project.

Trainer Profile
Mr. IM Sopheak has worked in the field of community development since 1999. He is a good community practitioner of community development approaches, he was trained, coach and develop community leadership skills to many community leaders to develop their leadership and management skills. Through the use of his specific skills he has engaged with many different projects/programs. These have been related to community organizing, facilitation skills, non-formal education, income generation, baseline survey, participatory approach, CBOs engagement, Genders mainstreaming, Advocacy, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA), Project Cycle Management, Program Development and fundraising. Within the space of 13 years he served as Youth Volunteer, Community Facilitator, Community Development Coordinator, Project Manager, Senior Program Manager, and Program Coordinator. Since 2004 Mr. Sopheak has had extensive experience as a key member of the Senior Management Team. Presently, he is working as program coordinator, and consultant for rural works.
