Advancing Partners & Communities (APC) is positioned to address
local capacity across family planning, HIV, maternal and child health,
nutrition, and control of infectious disease. APC has a specific focus
on conducting strategic solicitations for family planning programs to
test innovations, conducting pilots, and expanding community-based
services.
APC’s approach for the sub-grant process is flexible and adaptable in
order to meet the needs of USAID missions as well as technical teams
and grantees. The grants solicitation & management (GSM) team will
serve as a “one-stop shop” for USAID and grantees, as appropriate, from
solicitation design to grant close-out.
Funding for APC projects can come from multiple sources. Core funding
will be used to conduct two to three solicitations per year. To meet
additional needs, APC will be available to USAID to support the design
of a grant program and strategy and to work with USAID technical staff
to develop the technical, managerial, and administrative sections of
grant solicitations.
It is anticipated that one grant of $9 Million USD for a project of up to four years will be awarded. It is expected that the project will be implemented in at least five countries and utilizeat least ten sub-awards to qualified wheelchair providers.
