We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Program Officer - PREVENT, based in Vientiane, Lao PDR. Program Officer - PREVENT Duties and key responsibilities: Provide technical assistance and support to program.  Review and contribute to annual work plans Design, implement, and coordinate specific program activities and may conduct research to achieve program goals Document and share project accomplishments, challenges and lessons learned among internal and external partners Assist in monitoring expenditures against approved budget and program needs and recommend modification to budget or program where appropriate Assist in monitoring subcontracts/purchase orders with subcontractors/vendors and ensure that the subcontracts/purchase order are managed, implemented and reported on in a timely and technically-sound manner Assist in preparing training/activity budget and securing training locations and logistics Assist in the translation of project documents for literature review, meeting/raining materials and other communication Assist staff in carry ing out field activities and getting local approval from authorities Assist with developing budgets, proposals, managing grants, project materials, and information Collect, compile and analyze information relevant to program activities Minimum Requirements:  Bachelor Degree or higher in medical sciences or public health.  Minimum of 8 years experience of health program management, training monitoring and evaluation.  Prior experience working with NGO’s and government organizations is essential.  Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English and Lao..
