Course Aim
Does your field staff constraint with tactic of community work? Join this course! They will be improved.
The course specifically designed to develop, and improve the skills and tactic for whom working in the field of community work especially facilitation skills. The course aims to provide participants with knowledge, skills, principle, and successful experiences from trainer. Hence, the aim of the course purpose will help participant improve their capacity to manage basics constraint of their existing work.
Learning objective
At the end of this training course, participants are able:
- Participants have ability and skill to develop their existing work
- Sharpen on the skills, responsibilities to produce a good quality of facilitation.
- Participants have ability to manage for basic constraints regarding to community work.
- Become more aware of and question personal, organizational, and community assumptions about how we work as development professionals in light of the need to demonstrate development result in our country.
- Be able to facilitate and manage the constraints of meeting process
- Identify opportunities where learnt principles and skills may be applied immediately in practice to work.
- Become better consumers of facilitation skills /tools in order to avoid fads, gimmicks and mistake.
- Understand more about the tools and tactics to produce a fruitful work.
Intended Participants
- Community Development Facilitators (CDF), Community Development Worker (CDW), Community Transformational Development Facilitator (TDF).
- Community Development Coordinator (CDC), Field Officers (CO) ,Team Leader (TL), and University Student.
- People who wish to have a job within a community development area.

Trainer Profile
Mr. Im Sopheak has worked in the field of community development since 2000. Through the use of his specific skills he has engaged with many different projects/programs. These have been related to community organizing, facilitation skills, non-formal education, income generation, baseline survey, participatory approach, CBOs engagement, Genders mainstreaming, Advocacy, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA), Project Cycle Management, Program Development and fundraising. Within the space of 12 years he served as Youth Volunteer, Community Facilitator, Community Development Coordinator, Project Manager, and Senior Program Manager. Since 2004, Mr. Sopheak has had extensive experience as a key member of the Senior Management Team. Presently, he is working as program manager, and also working as consultant for community work.
