Overview of the project
Negotiations Support is one of CDKN’s four strategic themes, as well as being the focus of the Climate Window of the Advocacy Fund which aims to provide effective negotiation support to the poorest and most climate vulnerable countries.
CDKN is running a Negotiation Support Innovation Challenge to fund innovative projects that support developing country negotiators to be more influential in international climate change negotiations. We welcome applications for different types of projects including:
Multiple awards will be made for projects of £50,000 or more. Projects should last between 3 and 6 months and be able to start in mid to late January 2013.

Please note the deadline for completed application packs is 23:59 (GMT) on 6th January 2013.
Any clarification questions can be sent to cdknetwork.procurement@uk.pwc.com by 17:00 (GMT) on 13 December 2012. Answers will be posted online on a weekly basis up to the deadline.
Further to this, there will be an Open Meeting at 10:00 (GMT) on 12 December 2012 in London, which can also be attended via teleconference. Members of the team will be on hand to discuss your questions in an open forum. Minutes of this meeting will be made available online. - Project scale-ups
- New editions to existing initiatives
- Changes in the ways that the poorest and most vulnerable countries influence global climate change negotiations
- Changes in the capacity of the poorest and most vulnerable countries to contribute to climate change negotiations
- Changes in the coordination, collaboration and mobilisation of the poorest and most vulnerable countries in negotiations
- Changes in the quality and relevance of knowledge and skills to support the poorest and most vulnerable country negotiators
- Changes in the ability of the poorest and most vulnerable countries to leverage and channel climate change related resources strategically
