Cambodian Development Mission for Disability (CDMD), a non-government organization works for disability and inclusive development through a community based approaches in 26 districts of five provinces (Phnom Penh, Kandal, Takeo, Kampot, and Kampong Speu) of Cambodia. CDMD is looking for a qualified and committed person with the following requirements to fill in position of Communication and Advocacy Coordinator
Key roles:
- Responsible for communication and marketing tasks of CDMD to its stakeholders;
- Develop and improve communication materials
- Responsible for advocacy tasks through working with Disabled People Organization
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop communication and advocacy objectives and plan
- Develop and improve communication materials such as leaflets, posters, newsletters, website, etc.
- Write news releases and arrange publication to keep all CDMD stakeholders, including staff and beneficiaries up to date with CDMD news
- Maintain website and regularly update it with information about CDMD’s work
- Undertake online research and build contacts with potential individual donors and raise funds for supporting project activities
- Cooperate with Senior Technical Team in building capacity of DPOs related advocacy and organizational development
- Develop and maintain relationship with relevant partners and stakeholders in improving CDMD’s communication and marketing
- Coordinate with relevant partners and stakeholders to raise disability awareness of public through organizing events or media
- Monitor and evaluate job performance of Communication & Advocacy Assistants
- Develop annual report by cooperate with Assistant of Executive Director
Requirements:
- University degree or higher education degree in marketing, public relations and communications, or other related field
- Knowledge of Information Technology
- At least 3 years experience of practical communications and public relations experience
- Strong Khmer and English writing skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to take initiative
- Ability and willingness to travel as require
