Course Objective
Climate change has long-since ceased to be a scientific curiosity, and is no longer just one of many environmental and regulatory concerns. The course specifically designed base on the real situation in Cambodia and the course aims to provide to student with knowledge, principle, convention, national strategy, and sharing with participant the relevant tools, technical skills and previous experience of trainers. The course purposes focus on the Climate Change Issues, Mitigation, and Adaptation. Moreover, course will help participant understand the Disaster Risk Deduction and its tools.
Learning Outcomes:
At the end of this training course, participants will understand:
- An addressing inter-linkages between climate change and sustainable development;
- An addressing relationship between energy consumption, efficiency conservation and climate change;
- Understand the project to reduce emission’ which provide incentive for projects that reduce emissions below business as usual during the first commitment period of the Kyoto Protocol;
- Understand the mechanism to achieve the goal of national strategy,
- Understand the Disaster Risk Reduction and DRR tool which inter-linkage to CCA
- Participants are able to use tools fit to their workplace in the area of DRR.
