Position Overview:
Working
directly with the Certification Senior Manager and collaborating with
the entire Certification Team, this position is responsible for Fair
Trade USA’s certification process within the Grocery & Ingredients
program, working primarily with consumer packaged goods (CPG). The
mission of Fair Trade USA's Certification Department is to ensure the
Fair Trade CertifiedTM guarantee throughout each product’s chain of custody.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Manage certification relationships with Fair Trade partners primarily via phone and email.

Collect data from partners to validate their supply chain at a transactional and aggregate level; some overlap with other accounts and team members required for companies trading in multiple product categories.

Execute chain of custody audits across accounts and implement corrective action procedures.

Track trade flows and provide analysis of buying patterns and compliance issues.

Manage oversight of data within spreadsheets, database and supporting documentation.

Provide input into overall partner relationship and product management through collaboration across internal functions.

Analyze
and address issues of non-compliance with certification criteria
directly with businesses, particularly for accounts which represent the
highest risk to the Fair Trade Certified label.

Provide analysis and advice to management on top priority accounts and products.

Work effectively as a team member, supporting peers and providing insights to improve service and the workplace.
Requirements:

A Bachelor’s or equivalent experience

Must
have a minimum of 2 years of professional work experience, preferably
in relationship management, business, economic analysis, supply chain
management, or international trade

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and most notably Excel)

Exceptional oral and written communication skills

Must be detail-oriented, logical, systematic, methodical, highly organized, able to problem solve and often work autonomously

Experience with auditing, reconciling, collecting, and analyzing data and reports are desired.

Demonstrated ability to be flexible, adaptable and able to multi-task
