Description
General Function:
Internews Network is seeking a Training Program Manager candidate for a potential USAID funded program in Cambodia to build on local efforts by technology-oriented civil society organizations using new technology and social media for development by formalizing a technology / social innovation lab. The Training Program Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the program related to building capacities of Cambodian citizens and CSOs to use technology effectively and safely for development.

The goals of this program are to, through investment in social innovation processes:

• Empower civil society and citizens with equal access to information and communications,
• Increase access to and diversity of educational opportunities, and incubate and design technology-based solutions for CSOs
• Train CSOs how to use media technology for development purposes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for managing all aspects of the program related to building capacities of Cambodian citizens and CSOs to use technology effectively and safely for development
• Identifying and working with training instructors, mentors and technical experts from the private and SCO sectors
• Overseeing the development of different training curricula; instructors, marketing and evaluating courses.
• Oversee and where relevant support the development of methodologies and approaches to key training goals such as integration of software into CSO management and program structures; harnessing technology to support social marketing, online community building and awareness raising efforts; harnessing technology to improve access to information include research, media and security issues
• Oversee monitoring and evaluation courses that include new trends in technology and analytics

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 7 years of technical training experience preferred. Prior experience as a trainer, group facilitator required.
• Prior experience as a hands-one trainer essential, experience managing relevant online training courses and educational support opportunities online a plus
• Proven ability to explain technical subjects in a lay language to less technically-experienced persons;
• Excellent written and oral skills
• Strong background in media and/or technology, and/or civil society development.
• Khmer language skills are required.
