Human resource development entails planning, implementing, and managing recruitment, as well as selection, training, career, and organizational development initiatives within an organization. The goal of HRD is to maximize the productivity of an organization by optimizing the effectiveness of its employees while simultaneously improving the work life of employees and treating employees as valuable resources. Consequently, HRD encompasses efforts to promote personal development, employee satisfaction, and compliance with employment-related laws.

HRD is the organizational function that deals with issues related to people such as compensation, hiring, performance management, organization development, safety, benefits, employee motivation, communication, and administration. Effective HRD enables employees to contribute effectively and productively to the overall direction and the accomplishments of the goals and objectives of an organization.

Training Methodology 

Presentation: Trainer will present the concerned subjects while participant is actively listening, and taking note. Participants will have opportunity to express their comment by asking questions and providing their personal answers.

Group discussion: Participants are assigned to work in small group by brainstorming, discussing, outlining, selecting, analyzing idea and it allows participants to contribute their idea/comments to the whole group, enable participants to respond and react to their contributions and allows individuals or group to summarize and/or raise their comment to the class as a whole.  

Role Play: Participants will have more opportunity to improve skills, attitudes, and perceptions in real situation, be creative and flexible with the actual condition also will assist participant to express their personal experience by role-playing.   

Activities: In order to facilitate the training period to be more active and in a friendly-environment, participant will be introduced with a variety of activities and allow participants to entertain, stimulate interest and alertness as well as recall of information and skills.

Case Studies: In order to assist participants to visualize what they have learnt into actual practice, many case studies will be introduced. Participants will have to work as a team to reflect their understanding.

Question and Answer: It encourages participants to discover their confusing and/or unclear part of the subjects and ask question to clarify while all participants could actively listen and absorb at the same time.

Trainer’s Credentials
Mr. Tep Mongkul possesses over 15 years of experiences in teaching ESL and training to improve high standard of implications for achieving institutional goals. He experienced in strategic development, school and education center management, program development management and human resource development.

Currently, Mr. Mongkul works as the Dean of English Department at Western University Kpcham and a Board Member of Academics and a full-timed senior lecturer at Western University Phnom Penh. His main responsibilities are to plan instructors’ schedules, book reviews, curriculum developments, and assessments of both the trainers and the trainees. He pertains to ensure the effectiveness, efficiency of education, curriculum development and staff capacity building. He conducts regular trainings and workshops to lecturers and prepares remedial classes for poor-learning students at the university. Furthermore, he is a weekend trainer and lecturer for some private institutions and NGOs, such as between 2002 and 2005, he was a lecturer at Norton University and 2008-2010, he was a lecturer of MBA classes at Build Bright University.

Mr. Mongkul’s past positions include Head of the Department of Human Resources and Quality Control at the BNN Center__ an Affiliation of Norton University, and program technical adviser to the KSL in Phnom Penh. Moreover, he used to work for the United Nations as the Conference Assistant and Protocol Assistant during the 58th Session at the UN Conference Center in Bangkok, Thailand and received a written acknowledgments and award from the United Nations General Secretary in 2002 as the Outstanding Conference Assistant.

He was also invited to attend the international workshop of Young Professionals in Tagaytay, the Philippines in 2005, and he was selected to be an exchange academic to the University of the Philippines in Manila in 2006.
