Enhancing organizational growth through:
Effective Human Resource Development

The goal of the learning course is to deepen participants’ insights and understanding of concept, approaches and tools for effective human resource development that can be practically applied in their workplace to enhance organizational growth. By the end of the course, participants will have clarified:
Goal and objectives
- What is and why human resource development (HRD)?
- What are effective approaches for capacity development?
- What activities in the organization contribute to HRD?
- What is a learning organization? Why is it important?
- What is and how to apply Action-Learning Cycle?
- What is Development Supervision?
- How to make appraisal more HRD supportive?
- How to formulate HRD strategy?
- Should we have a HRD policy? What should be its content?
- How to develop a HRD proposal and plan?
Targets:
HR Manager/Officer; Learning Manager; Potential HR Advisor; Manager and Supervisor with HR responsibilities.
Methodology (language and materials will be in Khmer)
Practical exercises, journaling, reflection, individual/pair thinking, plenary discussion, small group work, interactive presentations, experience sharing, story telling etc.
Course Facilitator:
Mr. Leng Chhay, OD Consultant, has over 15 years experience in capacity development in particular organizational development and facilitation of learning. He worked with a wide range of staff and leaders from local and international organizations, and facilitated individuals and organizations to learn and make a difference. Chhay spent six years living and studying in Germany, graduated an MBA. His work history started with a private development company; then over three years with Amret (formerly EMT); thereafter seven years in senor positions with VBNK, a leading capacity development institute in Cambodian. Since the end of 2007, he works as an independent consultant.
