The Preparatory Commission for the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty Organization with its Headquarters
in Vienna is the international organisation setting up the global verification system foreseen under the
Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty (CTBT), which is the Treaty banning any nuclear weapon test explosion
or any other nuclear explosions. The treaty provides for a global verification regime, including a network
of 321 stations worldwide, a communication system, an international data centre and on site inspections to
monitor compliance.
We seek to recruit a highly qualified candidate for the following positions in the

Under the supervision of the Chief, Legal Services Section, and in coordination with the responsible Legal Officer(s), the Intern shall:
The intern may be assigned any other duties in furtherance of the Commission’s activities.
Under the supervision of the Chief, Legal Services Section, and in coordination with the responsible Legal Officer(s), the Intern shall:
- Update the legislation database;
- Update Legal Section’s information on the CTBTO website;
- Conduct legal research;
- Update and maintain Legal’s research files; and
- Other tasks as assigned.
The intern may be assigned any other duties in furtherance of the Commission’s activities.
Qualifications:
Candidates should be studying towards a university degree, or have already received a degree at the time of application.
Competencies:
An intern is neither a staff member nor an official of the Commission.
An intern who is a non-Austrian citizen is responsible for obtaining
any necessary visas and for complying with local laws concerning police
registration.
