FLD background
The Foundation for Local Development (www.fldasia.org), a foundation registered in Chiang Mai, Thailand, is currently calling for applications for sessions 2 and 3 of its 2012 Online Training Program.
The Foundation for Local Development was founded by Dr Alan Smith (PhD Monash University), an Australian working on community development projects in Southeast Asia and who has promoted distance-education for community workers. FLD provided training materials for a 3 year distance education project in Cambodia (2007-2009) funded by the European Commission in collaboration with FNF/CEDAC.
FLD has developed since 2009 an expertise in delivering its training online, and implemented online training projects in Myanmar and Cambodia.
