DESCRIPTION
People in Need (PIN), is an international NGO with extensive experience
in the sector of maternal and child health. PIN is currently seeking a pro-active
and experienced midwife for a full-time post in Takeo Province.
The candidate’s primary duties will be field-based and she will
contribute to workshops, training activities in health centers and within
communities as well as provide follow-up services and monitoring. She will also
help to develop maternal and child health-related training curricula.

Schedule
Full time position, 7 month contract with possibility of extension
Responsibilities
- Regular on-the-job training and follow-up coaching visits to midwives at Takeo health centers
- Support to community health education campaigns
- Contribution to preparation of teaching curriculums for on-the-job training
- Participation in workshops
- Attend PIN health program meetings and relevant ToT trainings in the province
- Record keeping and basic reporting of activities
- Take on additional tasks as and when required by the Program Manager and Program Coordinator
Mandatory
Requirements:
- Secondary midwife
- At least 5 years working experience as a midwife
- Proven teaching experience
- Good teaching and interpersonal skills
- Ability to train on topics of post-partum hemorrhage, eclampsia and nutrition
- Willingness to travel frequently by motorbike, sometimes over long distances
Desired Requirements:
- Good knowledge of nutrition interventions for pregnant/lactating women and infants
- Experience in nutrition interventions for pregnant/lactating women and infants in communities
- Good spoken English
- Familiarity with Takeo Province
