Project Assistant of a Biodigester Project

People in Need
(PIN), an international NGO, seeks applications from pro-active and responsible
candidates for the position of Project Assistant
(PA).
PA will participate in the implementation of
a three-year project which aims to contribute to the development of a
permanent, market-based biodigester sector and within 2.5 years ensure energy
supply for more than 12,000 people living in the rural areas.
The PA will in cooperation with PIN’s
partners, the Provincial Biodigester Program Offices, work in Svay Rieng and
Prey Veng provinces on the establishment of 75 Biodigester User Networks, and building
networks’ capacity.

Position: Project Assistant of a Biodigester Project
Location: Svay Rieng Province (in 2012), Prey Veng province (in 2013)
Schedule: Full time position, long-term contract
Salary base: From 150 to 250 USD (+ regular bonuses) depending on PA’s qualification
Responsibilities
- In cooperation with PIN’s partners, facilitate the establishment of 75 Biodigester User Networks, and build networks’ capacity.
- Conduct capacity building for key members of BUNs
- Conduct the baseline survey and result-oriented monitoring
- Attend meetings with PIN’s partners and plan together the specific design and implementation of project activities
- Report regularly on the progress of project activities
- Other tasks as assigned by the line manager
Requirements
- At least Bachelor degree in agriculture, rural development or related field
- At least 2 years’ experience in community development and capacity building
- Very good facilitation skills
- Understanding of biodigesters is a strong advantage
- Good interpersonal skills (in communication at the community level and with the government staff)
- Honest and reliable person with positive attitude to work and ability to encourage & motivate others
- Good spoken and written English and excellent in Khmer
- Competent use of Windows Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Ability to work independently and manage workload with limited supervision
