Program Support Officer
People in Need
(PIN), an international NGO, seeks applications from pro-active and experienced
candidates for the position of Program
Support Officer (PSO).
PSO will work
closely with the Head of Mission on the overall development of PIN’s mission to
Cambodia. PSO will participate in the supervision of and support to PIN’s
programs and projects, assist with the preparation of program assessments and
designs, represent PIN at national level meetings, support compliance of
mission’s work with PIN’s policies, participate in the development of mission’s
strategy and other tasks as assigned by the Head of Mission. The PSO will be
expected to possess a high ability to take individual responsibility for the
outcomes of her/ his work and to perform her/ his tasks in a very high quality.
Open communication style and high commitment towards achieving tangible impacts
are desired.
The PBO will be
working in all PIN’s target provinces (South-East of Cambodia) with a permanent
base in Phnom Penh. Willingness to travel extensively to PIN’s target areas
will be expected.

Position: Program Support Officer
Location: Frequent trips in South-East of Cambodia with main base in Phnom Penh
Schedule: Full time position, long-term contract
Salary base: From 650 to 800 USD (+ regular bonuses) depending on PSO’s
qualification
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support the implementation of PIN’s programs and projects
- Assist with the program/ project assessments and designs
- Represent PIN at meetings with local and national level authorities, partners and NGO networks
- Support compliance of mission’s work with PIN’s policies
- Participate in the development of mission’s strategy
- Conduct reporting and documentation-related tasks
- Other programming-related tasks as assigned by the line manager
Requirements
- At least 7 years full-time experience with LNGOs and INGOs in program design and management
- University degree in Rural Development or a related subject (or equivalent skills and knowledge gained through working with LNGOs and INGOs)
- Very good organizational skills including strong attention to detail
- Interest in taking individual responsibility for the outcome of the assigned work
- Honest and reliable person with a pro-active attitude to work and ability to encourage & motivate others
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain relationships with people from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to work independently, under time pressure and after-hours if necessary
- Ability to produce precise documents in a comprehensive and attractive format
- Fluent spoken and written Khmer and English (candidates not meeting this criteria will automatically not be considered)
- Willingness to travel extensively by shared taxis and on a motorbike
