MRC Secretariat is now recruiting highly qualified candidates for JRP positions.
2 positions are allocated for each Memeber Country
The JRP positions are funded by the JRP Project under the Integrated
Capacity Building Programme (ICBP). The selected candidates will have
opportunities to undertake English language training course, general
management and related integrated water resources management courses
(which might take 2 to 4 months), and on-the-job training with the MRC
programmes which is about 4 to 10 months depending on the selected
module. The location could be at the offices of the MRC
Secretariat in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, or in Vientiane, Lao PDR depending
on the on-the-job training (OJT) proposal. The JRPs would also have the opportunities to travel within the MRC member countries during the different training courses.
The main targeted candidates are young riparian officials who are under 35 years old from:
- The four National Mekong Committees and line Ministries
- Government run local universities and training institutes in the riparian countries; and
- Tributary river basin organizations (RBO) or provincial/sub-area organizations related to the Mekong River.
These riparian officials should also possess a master degree or
Bachelor Degree in integrated water resources management or related
disciplines and English competency with test score for IETLS of a
minimum score equivalent to 5.0.

Only nationals of Cambodia, Lao PDR, Thailand and Viet Nam. The application should include (i) a cover letter outlining clearly how the candidate meets the requirements of the position;
(ii) a detailed CV; (iii) the JRP Application Form (available in
download box on the right of this page) ; (iv) the on-the-job training
proposal; and (v) a copy of passport which valid more than six months.
The application should be sent to the National Mekong Committee in the
applicant’s home country. Women are encouraged to apply. Only
short-listed candidates will be notified.
The On-the-Job Training (OJT) Proposal is a compulsory part of the
application. Without this document the application is considered
incomplete and will not be eligible for short-listing. Guidelines for
