Course Profile
It is not enough to know how to do your job or to be a very intelligent person. People who are not emotionally smart waste time on personality conflicts and complaining. They lose self-control when faced with tense and stressful situations. “Unsmart” people undermine their own and others’ performance and work satisfaction. Research shows that the relationships most affected by inadequate people skills include the following: supervisor to the people who report to him or her; one associate to another; customers to employees.
Working with Emotional Intelligence has been particularly designed to help working professionals to develop their emotional intelligence, which will allow them to communicate more effectively in the workplace, family and other social settings. Upon completion of the course, the participants are expected to:

- Strategy 2: Optimistic Thinking
- Strategy 1: Social Skills – assertive speaking, active listening, non-verbal language study
- Strategy 2: Emotional Control – anger and stress
- Strategy 3: Flexibility -
- Strategy 1: Practice Organizational Self-Awareness
- Strategy 2: Develop Social Skills
- Strategy 3: Foster Optimism
- Strategy 4: Encourage Flexibility and Problem Solving
- Strategy 5: Model and Encourage Emotional Control
- Strategy 6: Support Teamwork
Trainer Profile:
Mr. Pech Bolene has had more than15 years experience in management career. He started his management career at a very young age of 17 as a branch manager. From1997 to 2008, Mr. Bolene managed more than 1000 employees for one of the biggest educational institutes at that time. Now Mr. Bolene is a very successful entrepreneur, investor, and Chief Executive Officer. He's currently the CEO of Westline Development Group, and an investor in Education, Media, Training and Research companies. He's also a board director of Young Entrepreneurs Association of Cambodia (YEAC) and Help Our Homeland Organization (HOH). Recently, he was awarded as Outstanding ASEAN-CHINA Young Entrepreneur 2011.
Mr. Bolene has worked in the fields of educational management, curriculum development, teacher professional development, and human resource management. His areas of expertise are in strategic management, organizational behavior, emotional intelligence and leadership. He holds bachelor degree in Education and journalism, Master degree in Human Resource
Management, and EMBA from the UK.
Methodology
The following methods will be used during the course: open discussions, case studies, brainstorming and mini-lectures.
