PRACTICAL
TRAINING
ON
“Building
and Maintaining Good Workplace Cooperation”
21 Nov 2011,
Venue: Hotel
I-
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Globalization has brought significant benefits
to the developing countries like Cambodia, but in many cases has also seen an increase
in conflict and disputes between workers and employers. Such conflict is
inevitable where Cambodian industrial relations system has not managed to keep
pace with the overall transformation process. Although industrial conflict is
inevitable in a market economy, such conflict can be managed -- disputes can be
resolved quickly and fairly if the appropriate institutional arrangements are
in place. More importantly, conflict and disputes can be prevented from arising
if workers and employers within the enterprise are willing to interact, to
discuss, to listen and cooperate.
With the financial support from the ILO’s Bureau for Employers’
Activities (ILO ACTEMP), the Promoting the sound industrial relations in
Cambodia: Strengthening the IR services, outreach and representativeness of
CAMFEBA project will organize this training course to provide you the guidance on how
to develop and maintain a good workplace cooperation. It will tell you what the
workplace cooperation means, its benefits to the employers and workers, various
steps to establish it, how to develop the grievance procedure etc. The training
will be conducted by experienced legal and HR practitioners.
