Aide et Action International (AEAI) is an international NGO, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. AEA International began its programs in India in 1981 and is now working in more than 20 countries across Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, South Asia, Southeast Asia and China to support the development of sustainable educational projects.
AEAI started working in Southeast Asia in 2003, first in Cambodia and later extending its programmes to Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar and China through both partnerships and direct implementation with local stakeholders (NGOs, governments, communities). AEAI believes in the universal right to a quality education and bases each intervention around this ethos.
The organization is looking for Volunteer in Education or Communication based in Phnom Penh Cambodia.
AEAI can be an important vehicle for volunteer employment. Being able to provide
- Support for personal development (training and learning)
- Accommodation and equipment
- A non threatening work environment
- A contract of between 3‐6 months
- A letter of recommendation following satisfactory contract completion
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- It is anticipated that the activities undertaken by the Volunteer will be wide ranging. The individual concerned working closely with program staff members of AEAI in support of their roles and duties and in the process gaining understanding and knowledge.
Qualification requirement
- Show support to AEAI Vision and Mission
- Young graduates who unable to achieve “that first post”, it can provide the opportunity to gain vital experience of the work environment and to gain ongoing training.
- Good knowledge of English in writing, reading and speaking
- Good knowledge in Microsoft office
- Good team player
- Have related competent in education, media, communication and/or administrative skills
- Have a strong commitment to learning and show flexibility in approach to undertaking duties
- At least available to commit 4 hours per day either in the morning or afternoon,
