Bridges Across Borders Cambodia (BABC) is an international solidarity organization working to support people’s action for inclusive development, social justice and human rights in Cambodia. BABC’s Community Development Program (CDP) aims to motivate, organize, and effectively support poor and marginalized communities to overcome their common problems and reach their full potential. With the understanding that poverty consists of a myriad of inter-related problems, the CDP helps partner communities and community-based organizations design and implement holistic strategies to break the cycle of poverty. The program supports integrated, sustainable development initiatives that build local capacity and improve health & sanitation, food & water security, housing & community infrastructure, natural resource management, and employment opportunities & livelihoods. The program’s target areas include Damnak Chang Eur district, Kep province and relocation sites on the periphery of Phnom Penh and in Kandal province.
In the context to strengthen our Community Village Bank (CVB), BABC is searching for an exceptional candidate to fulfill the position of Village Bank Consultant. The position will be based at the BABC branch office in Pong Teok commune, Damnak Chang Eur district, Kep province for fulfilling ten days services.
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct training to the Members of the BABC Staff in Preparation for the Establishment of the CVB; (4 days)
- Formulation of the initial Manual of Operations which will guide the CVB staff during the CVB’s first year of operations; (4 days)
- Writing of training report; (2 days)
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must hold a Master’s degree in General Management, Sociology and other related fields;
- Must have experience working in a bank or in credit cooperatives especially village bank;
- Must be familiar with community development work in the Kingdom of Cambodia;
- Must be willing to work with the people in the countryside;
