Sanitation Engineering Advisor–Cambodian National

Your Role and Responsibilities

As the Sanitation Engineering Advisor, you will provide expertise to the program regarding latrine design, production, and environmental suitability and develop training and education materials. You will participate as a technical expert with the Human Centered Design (HCD) and Innovation Lab to develop marketable latrine designs for challenging environments.

Your Qualifications

University degree in Engineering (Environmental, Civil, Mechanical) or other

relevant areas with 5+ years work experience.

Experience working with concrete and rural sanitation is a plus

Experience:

Liaising with government and local people

Working in water or sanitation

Technical report writing in English

Developing and executing training

Teaching and coaching

Working in a multi‐functional and multi‐cultural team

Planning and organizing

Skills:

Leadership and mentorship

Communication – presentations and team discussions

Excellent spoken and written English

Intermediate to advanced computer abilities with MS Office, E‐mail, and Internet

Personal qualities:

Collaborative and thrives in a team environment

Excited by and open to new ideas and new ways of doing things
