The NGO Forum on Cambodia is a membership organization consisting of local and international NGOs. The NGO Forum exists for information sharing, debate and advocacy on priority issues affecting Cambodia’s Development. The NGO Forum is seeking for a qualified consultant to conduct a research on “Prey Lang Development Case: do people benefit from its development?”
The overall goal of the study is to learn about the current livelihoods of Prey Lang community’s people as impacted by development plans including the grant of ELCs as well as the management of the natural resources surrounding and inside Prey Lang.
Consultant Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Advanced degree or master degree in rural development, natural resources management or law.
2. Proven experience in extensive social and environmental research within or outside Cambodia is necessary. The recent relevant work in the greater Prey Lang area is preferable.
3. Substantive knowledge on development issues, ESIA or EIA assessment, environmental and natural resource management issue in Cambodia context is a must.
4. Strong research, writing and reporting skills in Khmer and English and the ability to communicate at all levels.
5. The contracted consultant is required to produce report in two languages: Khmer and English.
