ANZ Royal is now seeking customer-oriented and motivated individuals, who would like to gain work experience at ANZ Royal Bank for the position below.
Credit Manager (2 positions based in Phnom Penh)
This role supports businesses in ANZ Royal to achieve sound profitable growth of lending assets, by maintaining credit quality in line with agreed business strategies and consistent with Group’s credit principles, policies and procedures through independent and objective credit assessment and advice.
Main Duties
- Review and recommend/ make decision on credit proposals submitted by Business counterpart
- Support line managers to maintain an oversight as to the integrity of the credit management process, ensuring that the quality of ANZ Royal’s lending portfolio conforms to the expectations set by the business
- Ensure that deviations from the Group’s credit management processes / procedures/ policies identified are reported to appropriate authorities and adequately addressed
- Make sound credit-based decisions - based on quality analysis on a timely basis with accuracy of risk grades in line with Group credit principles and policy and ensure that effective risk management practices are followed
- Lead workshops and be proactive in credit structuring, and suggest alternative ways to make credit proposal acceptable
- Ensure jointly with line counterparts that appropriate strategies for problem credits and watch list accounts are developed, approved and are regularly reviewed in terms of policies and procedures
- Support line counterparts in reviewing credit related returns and reports, monitoring and identifying significant customer credit risks and the deviations of management control from acceptable credit standards, causes of non accruals, and new provisions and ensuring appropriate action is taken
- Provide and ensure sound credit consultancy advice, coaching and training to line counterparts in achieving business strategies
- Advise on external and general business conditions in local area of responsibility, interpret their likely impact on lending assets or activities and recommend/ implement appropriate initiatives
Skills/ Experiences
- Qualifications in Banking/ Finance/ Accounting or Economics are preferred
- Proven experience in credit, relationship, general banking and administration
- Demonstrated risk management ability and sound credit judgement with integrity
- Possess excellent listening and communication skills
- Strong sense of urgency with high level of commitment and determination in delivering a great result
