Retail Lending Specialist (1 position based in Poi Pet)
This role is responsible for gathering, identifying and verifying all information received from customers relating to all borrowings to ensure that the appropriate lending decision is achieved in regards to the customers’ capacity and ability to repay.
Main Duties
• Work closely underneath a Branch Manager as well as with the Retail Lending team as part of the strategy to ensure Retail achieves its Mortgage targets
• Actively go out and hunt for customers that may have a mortgage need, build a relationship with them, and write subsequent mortgages
• Provide lending support for Retail, review and support mortgage applications
• Contribute to the development of a sound profitable business by creating effective referral networks, including internal business relationships, existing customers and the local market activities
• Ensure customers’ loan repayment capacity which is a fundamental part of the loan application process
• Provide weekly reporting and help consolidate the loan forecasts for the Branch Manager
• Train and coach the team, especially Sales Consultants, related to consumer lending
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Branch Manager/Retail Lending Manager
Skills/Experiences
• Qualifications in a financial discipline – Accounting and Finance
• Understanding of the credit assessment process
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to resolve problems
• Understanding the full range of transactional & lending products to meet customers’ needs
• Sound understanding of the financial services industry where ANZ Royal is positioned in the market
• Negotiation and internal and external relationship building
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English and Khmer
• Organisational, leadership and time management skills
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
