WAPPP/ISP Fellowships

The Women and Public Policy Program at the Harvard Kennedy School will be awarding one postdoctoral residential fellowship to an outstanding scholar in security affairs from the United States or elsewhere working to promote basic research in the broad area of international security with a particular focus on issues relating to gender. This fellow must hold a Ph.D. by September 2010. The fellow will hold his or her fellowship jointly with the International Security Program (ISP) of the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs (Belfer Center).

For 2008-2009, the fellowship was awarded to Dr. Megan Mackenzie, a political scientist who will conduct a comparative analysis of the existing policies and programs created to address children born of war time rape and AIDS orphans in Sierra Leone and Uganda.
