DPA has volunteered to take a lead in facilitating the national-level Extractive Industry Social and Environment Impact Network. Following consultations, the EISEI network and the steering committee (DPA, ICSO, EWMI, MVI, SCW, YRDP, CCIM, IRAM, and CPN) has recognised the need to recruit a Cambodian Coordinator to lead the network. The coordinator would help to ensure the effective implementation of a network at national level. This facilitation process should provide a solid foundation for future advocacy initiatives to address community and civil society concerns.
The role
In this position, you will work closely with the EISEI officer, expatriate EISEI Advisor, and DPA Development Education and Advocacy unit staff to facilitate and coordinate the national-level network by working closely with the network members. This position is based within DPA’s Development Education and Advocacy unit.

What we are looking for
- Bachelor degree in Law, NRM, sustainable development, the extractive industry or other relevant fields; master’s degree preferred.
- Three years experience in advocacy work.
- Knowledge of issues related to social and environmental impacts of industry activities, knowledge of extractive industry specific issues preferable.
- Proven ability to network and develop positive inter-organisational relationships.
- High level inter-personal and communication skills.
- Sound computer skills, including knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
- Experience with Access and web site development desirable.
- Fluency in Khmer and English both written and oral.
