Introduction and Course Aims
This course is designed for people who seriously consider the implementation of Gender Mainstreaming into management processes.
You will achieve a clear understanding of the targets of gender mainstreaming and you will learn how to implement gender mainstreaming.
Both topics combined, you will be able to outline the mainstreaming process for your own gender project.Requested is basic knowledge of Human Resource Development as well as at least 2 years of working experience in your own field within institutions or enterprises in the public or private sector.

- concepts, history, gender mainstreaming and diversity, Arguments for gender mainstreaming, Case study and assessment
Web based training: 3 weeks - learning hours 15 h
Module 1. Gender Analysis
- Identifying gender issues; baseline theories; analytical tools; gender indicators
Module 2. Engendering the project cycle
- Intervention strategies; Intervention methods; implementation -
Module 3. Mobilizing for support
- Identifying the key stakeholders; dealing with resistance; presentation skills; networking
Case studies
- You will have access to up to date selected cases studies from all parts of the world. Contributions are welcome

Modules 1 –3 are offered as a webbased training with experienced facilitators. All learners will have passed the test of the basic unit. So we all can be sure, that everybody got a sound basic knowledge on and a commitment to gender issues. It is possible to obtain a certificate for the successful participation in this webbased training. The certificate will be issued by theInWEnt. Please find the criteria for the certificate as follows:
1. Participation in the formulation of an action plan
2. Participation in the online-conferences
3. Sending in 80% of the exercises
