There are many ways in which to volunteer with NCLO, both onsite in Cambodia and offsite from your own hometown.
NCLO's Smiles Across the Miles ("SAM") website has all the latest details. Just visit www.nclosam.org to read up on what our volunteers have had to say, review the onsite volunteer calendar, find out what volunteer positions are currently available (both onsite and offsite), and begin planning your trip.
In general, NCLO welcomes onsite volunteers throughout the year to work alongside our team members and other volunteers, making a difference in the lives of children.
NCLO requires all onsite volunteers to register their request to volunteer onsite by completing our Onsite Volunteer Registration form. NCLO's onsite volunteer program is FREE. There are no fees or no minimum/maximum time commitments required. (Note: Volunteers are required to pay all of their own expenses including transportation, food, accommodations, and supplies.)
In addition to our ongoing daily onsite volunteer activities, we also offer Onsite Volunteer Experiences periodically throughout the year. You'll find these marked on our volunteer calendar on www.nclosam.org.
An Onsite Volunteer Experience is a great way to participate in a full range of opportunities to help others while getting to know and work alongside other volunteers from around the world.
Our typical Volunteer Experience is two weeks in length. While volunteers are welcome to participate in any part of the two weeks, the full two weeks schedule consists of a week of experiencing a variety of volunteer activities followed by a week of dedicated service with a group of children. Immersion into Cambodia's culture is threaded throughout the two week Experience. Register
