This project aims at improving access and quality of basic education in the 3 targeted provinces through constructing and rehabilitating school and quality improvement. The implementation is planned to take 4 years from 2003-2007 in the current phase and from 2007 - 2010 for the consolidation phase. The office and project staffs are based in the Provincial Teacher Training College of Siem Reap town.
The Project is now seeking 1 Long term Technical Assistant (TA) for Khmer Literacy Programme and 1 TA for School Management Support Programme.
NEED:
- Cambodian National.
- Ability to translate spoken and written Khmer into English and vice versa.
- Computes skills especially MS. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and use of Corel Draw will be an asset.
- Strong team workers.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to communicate well with different levels of people.
- Willing to go on field missions to remote areas in the 3 targets provinces.
- Proven Knowledge of teacher training methods.
- Bachelor Degree of Education or Khmer Literacy or equivalent through experience.
- Dynamic, flexible, creative and innovative.
JD:
- Translate and layout the written reading, training materials from English into Khmer and vice versa.
- Translate / interpret in meetings and trainings conducted by a group of international consultants.
- Assist team leader and international consultants in developing reading and training materials.
- Assist in planning and reporting to team leader on Khmer Literacy activities.
