NEED:
The incumbent will perform the following major responsibilities and duties:

NEED:
- University degree of law or Diploma equivalent related fields;
- At least 3 significant experience in, or knowledge of Cambodian criminal law or international human rights law, preferably with a focus on victims of crimes and working with civil society organizations;
- Significant experience in advocacy
- In addition to speaking Khmer, fluency in English or French is desirable.
The incumbent will perform the following major responsibilities and duties:
- Report to the Director of the Office of Administration, manage budgetary and administrative aspects of the Unit comprising of a small legal/administrative team of international and Cambodian staff;
- Develop strategic partnerships and build good working relationships with community or religious organizations, local authorities, non-governmental organisations and other bodies dealing with victims;
- Draft and update policies to facilitate and manage the participation of victims in the proceedings of the ECCC;
- Coordinate with other sections in the Office of Administration, the Co-Investigating Judges and Co-Prosecutors and particular with Public Affairs Section for development of strategies for public communication and information on victim issues;
- Under supervision of the Office of Co-Prosecutor, adopt and maintain a harmonized system for receiving and managing complaints;
- Under supervision of the Office of Co-Investigating Judges, adopt and maintain a harmonized system for receiving and managing civil parties;
- Develop and implement strategies for disseminating standard application forms and other materials for the participation of victims;
- Represent the Victim Unit in internal meetings and in Plenary Sessions of the ECCC.
