Cooperation Committee for Cambodia (CCC) has implemented successful -Analyzing Development Issues training courses since 1999. CCC is seeking a female senior researcher and trainer to assist with implementing training courses and research studies for staff of NGOs aimed at increasing participants' understanding of key development issues, strengthening critical thinking processes and developing research skills so that NGO managers can improve their programs and respond to changing conditions in Cambodia. A competitive salary is available for the person with the right credentials.
NEED:
- Cambodian national (female only)
- Master's degree in development studies or related field
- At lease 3 years extensive experience in field research and rural development
- Experience in participatory training methods
- Experience in curriculum and course design
- Fluency in oral and written English and Khmer
- Willingness to spend extended time in the field
JD:
- Develop and implement basic, advanced, and community level training courses for NGO participants
- Design and undertake quantitative and qualitative research studies with participants
- Develop research report1; for publication in Khmer and English
- Organize and participate in Issue Briefing Workshops
- Guide participants in course break research assignments
- Evaluate, review and improve course materials and methods
- Prepare reports and make presentations to various stakeholders
