Pour un Sourire d’ Enfant (PSE) or For a Child’s Smile is a non-profit organization and founded by Christian and Marie-France des Pallières, was established since 1995 in Cambodia. PSE’s mission is to help the most marginalised and debrided children escape from destitution and lead them to decent, skilled and well remunerated jobs. PSE has six main programmes adapted to the needs of the children, those programmes include: food, health, protection, education and schooling, vocational training, and helping families. PSE employs more than 600 employees and provides help to more than 6,500 children and 3000 families. We are operating in Phnom Penh, Sihanouk Ville and Siem Reap. We are looking for qualified candidates for the positions below.
Masonry and Painting Instructor (This position is fixed-term contract, based in Phnom Penh)
S/he will teach students in PSE center on the subjects in order to capacitate and enable them to get job at the end of training. Also, s/he will prepare the session plan, teaching material and support students to do their best in learning. In addition, s/he will support the team to select students for studying in this subjects.

Purpose of the job:
To give skillful knowledge to students in order to make them have good jobs and salary with professional behavior when they finish their training.
Activities and responsibilities:
ACADEMY:
- Create and update Masonry and Painting lessons.
- Teach Masonry and Painting subjects to students 24h per week with practice 60%.
- Participate in class council with other teachers to discuss about students’ problems.
- Provide tutorial to students of the class.
- Be responsible for students’ score every month and semester.
- Check student’s absence and take appropriate measure every weekday.
- Prepare schedule for training including extra course for students.
- Create and follow weekly, monthly and yearly teaching plan.
- Prepare test for student’s exam.
- Be responsible for students’ discipline.
- Control students’ bicycle after they borrowed from PSE.
- Work with BO (Orientation Office) to orientate students before they choose any skill.
- Participate in preparation of annual budget plan for construction training in electrical section.
- Assist the School Manager to prepare and process the purchase-order.
- Write monthly report and submit it to Manager.
- Be responsible for Masonry and Tiling workshop performance, tool keeping, hygiene, and reviewing inventory of Masonry and Tiling tools and materials.
- Cooperate with other trainers and staffs to maintain the program.
- Take time searching new lessons from Internet and other resources.
- Have meeting with construction team to find out weaknesses and to solve problems if exist.
- Update all modules of study in charge to adapt to the “Main à la Pate” pedagogic method.
- Visit construction field to find out new things.
- Recruit the students based on the criteria of PSE and work closely with Foundation Study Division, Social Department to set planning of every recruitment.
- Conduct counseling for every student regularly.
- Student qualification must be controlled regularly.
- Assist student affairs officer to manage all student records.
- Student conduct and discipline must be applied by everyone in the training program.
- Make student assessment during their internship.
- Follow up with students when they have social problem or professional problem.
Necessary educational and relevant personal background:
- Must have minimum BST(Technician ) / Bachelor’s degree of civil engineer in Masonry or related fields.
- At least two years of working experience in masonry and painting work and construction.
- Must have pedagogic training.
- High level of English (French is optional).
- Computer programs as Word, Excel, Power point, Auto-cad.
- Used to work with difficult children.
- Communication, support of diversity.
