CASHIER -- Parkson

Parkson store in Malaysia started in 1987 and it has grown steadily to become the largest department store chain in Malaysia. It has over 125 department stores in Asia Countries. And now Parkson will be launching its first department store in Cambodia at the late of 2016 and is seeking the following talented candidates for serving our expansion plan. Job title:    CASHIER

Be responsible for (1) customer services, (2) cashiering activities, (3) house keeping, (4) rules and regulations.

1.    Customer Services
  • Provide good customer services to encourage “plus selling”. Be polite and listen alternatively to customer needs.
  • Get information, answer customers' questions, and provide information on store, promotion and its merchandise to customers. Resolve customer complaints or concerns relating to cashiering procedures.
  • Put merchandise into bag or box for customer.
Requirements: Satisfy all customers’ needs, no complains from customers.

2.    Cashiering activities
  • Receive and count and check float from cash room. Key in POS machine at the beginning of the shifts to ensure that there is adequate change.
  • Issue receipt to customers, print out cash memo for promoter accordingly. Collect enough sales money and hand over to Cash room at the end of the shift or when required.
  • Follow guidelines and procedures when handling different types of transactions, such as cancel, separate bill, return/exchange, refund, markdown, markup, redeem gift voucher, coupon.
  • Receive, count, check and transfer daily sales money to banks safety (for cash room only).
  • Prepare float, stationery at the beginning of the shift (for cash room only).
  • Verify register and complete the appropriate paper work including submit daily reports at closing shift on time.
Requirements: Collected money is handed over to cash room timely, accurately. Cashiering transactions are executed by guidelines and procedures. Float and stationery are efficient and ready for services.

3.    House Keeping
  • Clean shelves, counter and surrounded area, tables, cabinets, and daily house keeping duties.
Requirements: Counter, cabinets, fixtures, shelves, etc are free of dust, arranged neatly, tidily and in proper area.

4.    Rules and Regulations
  • Follow all guidelines, company’s policies, rules and regulations.
Requirements: Execute the company’s policies, rules and regulations.

5.    Other duties
  • Other tasks or responsibilities as assigned by Chief Cashier.

  1. 18 years old or older
  2. Graduated High School.
  3. Have cashiering skills.
  4. Be able to work at shift
  5. Good health.
  6. Honesty, carefulness: Ability to be an honest, careful person.
  7. Customer service skills: Customer service minded
  8. English ability: Be able to communicate in daily conversation.
  9. Acts with Integrity: Demonstrates responsible and honest behavior in all Parkson roles, tasks, and responsibilities
