Communication plays very important and vital role in all fields of today’s life. Effective communication strategy is essential for the success of any project whether it is started by Government or any Non Governmental Organization.  Without having a strategy that effectively reaches the predetermined target audiences, there is no way that the organization with influence as many people. If the organization is going to spend the time to figure out their key messages it would be best to develop a strong communication strategy. Furthermore, this would guarantee the time was not wasted and the message will reach the public sector in the easiest way.

A communications strategy, also referred to as a communications plan, is a document that expresses the goals and methods of an organization's outreach activities, including what an organization wishes to share with the public and whom the organization is trying to reach. It is designed around the goals of a project t to help you and your organisation communicate effectively and meet core organizational or around the objectives of a project. Generally presented as an internal document, the overall communications strategy should serve as a guide for any media and public relations activities in which the organization is engaged. This general strategy has to be linked to the roots of the organization and must be treated seriously. All of the employees and people involved in the organization must commit to the strategy 100% in order to influence decisions from multiple stakeholders. There is no way that an organization can function well with the outside world if it does not have a sound plan for how to inform the public of what they do.

To that end, this special training course has been arranged around the Essential Elements, a series of ten steps every organization should consider as it develops a communications strategy. Addressing these gives us a precise snapshot of who we are, what we have to say to the target stakeholders, who we want to influence, and how we’ll do that – now, and in the months and years to come.
