Study on the reasons of dropout and absenteeism in the target areas
The present study is part of the on-going project to support primary education carried out by New Humanity with the support of We World. The project is in its third year of implementation and it will end in December 2016. The general objective of the project is to improve the level of education of children at the end of the primary school in Cambodia and specifically to ensure the right of all children to a basic education of quality in 15 communes in Kompong Chhnang and in 4 communes in Mondolkiri Provinces.
Overall purpose of the study
The purpose of the study is:
- to determine the reasons of dropout and absenteeism of primary school children in the districts of Pech Chreada and Sen Monorom in the Province of Mondolkiri.
- to determine effective strategies for reducing dropout and absenteeism rate (and for improving the quality of education) at community level
