A comprehensive training program for NGOs in Cambodia in sustainable development

SOPAR-Bala Vikasa is a pioneering secular and non-profit that has been working for 37 years to reach various community driven development programs to more than 7000 villages in Southern India, impacting almost 4 million people. 1.3 million people are provided with safe drinking water through 620 water purification projects and access to water through 6100 bore well with hand pumps and 500 overhead tanks. 200,000 women in 1,500 villages are part of a network of Self Help Groups aim to empower economically, socially and intellectually. We also implement programs targeted at improving regional food security, including 670 tanks renovation and 400 farmers cultivating organic farming. Furthermore, improved the infrastructure of 250 rural government schools and sponsored 1500 orphan’s education. Through all our programs, we focus on sustainability by building model communities, through building community leaders. Our unique and proven development models and approaches have spread to 51countries worldwide through various capacity building programs at the People Development Training Center, which has developed as a Center for Excellence in Community Development.
Overseas Training Programs
On the request of South Asian NGOs, PDTC conducts its CDD program in neighbouring countries in order to extend the benefits of this training program to a more diverse number of change agents. So far, it has conducted trainings in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal. We would like to invite applications from INGOs, NGOs and GOs for our upcoming training in collaboration with CEDAC in Cambodia.

Who Should Attend?
Who Should Attend?
- Development practitioners with at least three years’ experience and working in mid - senior level positions in national and international NGOs.
- Corporate sector and government department personnel that work in partnership with impoverished communities.
- Individuals who wish to get involved with social and international development projects.
- Applicants should be fluent in English for effective interaction and comprehension.

Program Cost: $ 550 (Cover your accommodation, food, training venue and materials, and travel for the field visit). We can also provide the participants scholarship opportunity to partly cover the training course. If the participants don’t need a room to stay, then they just pay 250$ or 350$ if they need a room.
