This budget management course is for everyone struggling to put together and manage a budget. It takes a practical, hand on, straightforward approach to budget making and will give invaluable tools and techniques to help you develop and control your budget.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
This is a finance training that focuses on your budget and budgeting skills. The budget management skills training course looks at the elements of a budget, what to understand before you start to plan the budget, different ways of assembling a budget and how to avoid the common pitfalls. We will look at the tools used to manage a budget and help you to understand the paperwork produced and used in your own organization.

TRAINER PROFILE
Mr. Seiha is an economist, specialized in finance, modeling, research and project management. He has his bachelor degree in Economics and Management, and his master of Econometrics and Economics specializing in Informative Engineering to the Decision and to the economic Assessment, from University of LUMIERE LYON II, France. Mr. Seiha has in-depth experience in finance especially cash flow management and financing, economics analysis, research, and project management. Currently he sits as a board member and works as Chief Financial Officer of Westline Education Group. In this position, he produces, implements, and monitors the 10-Years Business Financial Plan and Annual Financial Plan of the Westline Education Group. He was a research manager and deputy of executive committee of Economic Institute of Cambodia, where he served as a well-known Cambodian economist and the main author of bi-annual publication “Cambodia Economic Watch”. In this position, he monitored economic modeling and forecasting, and managed research project planning, staff, and budgeting. Since 2006, Mr. Seiha has done research and produced publications of many projects.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This budget management skills course is for managers who need to set and manage budgets but don't have the expertise or specific training in this area of finance. For anyone without a finance background who wants to learn about budgets in plain English.
METHODOLOGY
This program is essentially participative and practical. Emphasis on learning through experience, both from structured exercises and group discussions lead the way to effective understanding.

- Budget presentation: what you need to be able to answer
- What to look for when you get your monthly management accounts
- Budget monitoring and evaluation: How to manage, control, and monitor the budget
- Investigating differences from the budget
- Avoiding overspend and getting back on budgeted track
