FHI 360 is recruiting a creative, enthusiastic and innovative candidate to fill in the following position:
Technical/Program Officer, HIV Prevention, MSM – Phnom Penh
The HIV Prevention Technical/Program Officer (MSM) will work under the direction of the Associate Director, Prevention and Mitigation with strong linkages to all other prevention activities and to the care and treatment, and strategic information units. The Technical/Program Officer will be responsible for providing specific expertise, and innovation in the area of HIV prevention among MSM and transgender, and for providing technical and programmatic support to subgrantees and other partners to ensure high quality programming and policy making.
This is an exciting position for those who want to be part of the innovative MStyle program and support the positive health of MSM and transgender.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support the development, in collaboration with FHI 360 staff and partners, innovative strategies and approaches to reach segmented populations of MSM (i.e., MSM who self-identify, MSM who are hidden and/or also have sex with women, transgender, MSM/TG who use drugs)
- Provide technical and programmatic support to partner program implementation and ensure that project implementation, tools and materials adhere to appropriate global and national strategies, guidelines, and SOPs, and remain technically sound
- Provide training and facilitation on prevention topic and develop/adapt curricula and training /education support materials and tools
- Conduct regular monitoring and provide supervision support to sites on both technical and programmatic aspects using appropriate tools and processes
- Conduct analysis of program implementation to identify areas of weakness or opportunity as per the appropriate technical strategy and guidelines
- Support the development and monitoring of work plans, provide regular reports and papers summarizing project progress and results, and submit regular updates from all sites
Minimum Requirements - Education and Experience:
- BS/BA in public health, sociology, communications, social work, or related field, and 3 or more years relevant experience in HIV/AIDS or international development programs, or MS/MA/MPH in public health, sociology, communications, social work, or related field, and 1 - 3 years relevant experience in HIV/AIDS or international development programs.
- Creative, enthusiastic, dynamic person and team player
- Proven skills in management, supervision and leadership
- Fluency in oral and written Khmer and English
