Pour un Sourire d'Enfant (PSE) is a French non-profit making organization which has been established since 1996. PSE employs more than 500 dedicated staff. It provides technical and vocational education, nutrition, health care, protection & shelter, general education and community development to underprivileged students. Due to rapid growth of existing and new programs, PSE is seeking for a potential candidate for a vacant position of Community Development Assistant Volunteer, based in Phnom Penh.
Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting the training need assessment of community or baseline survey in the collaboration with community development coordinator
- Assist in developing and organizing the activities and planning to improve quality of family living of community
- Assist in monitoring and reporting the communities activities to identify the changes or sensitive issues to develop or improve the project
- Facilitate and assist in providing the capacity building to community
- Assist in coordinating and solving the problems of community
- Perform other tasks assigned by coordinator
Requirements
- Fresh graduate in social or economic development, community development, psychology, and other related fields
- Demonstrate the interest and motivation to work with community people/ grassroots
- Be willing to visit and travel to the target community
- Strong knowledge of listening and note taking
- Strong knowledge of research methodology
- Strong knowledge of research software applications
- Good command of English or French
- Computer literacy: Ms. Word, Excel, Outlook Express, Power Point…etc.,
- Be patient, dynamic, flexible and autonomous
- Be able to work under a six-month contract
