YSEALI Professional Fellows Program
(YSEALI PFP-2022)
The Cooperation Committee for Cambodia (CCC) is excited to announce the application launch for an international exchange program that is part of the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI). The YSEALI Professional Fellows Program (YSEALI PFP) offers a chance for successful applicants to participate in a fully funded six-week professional development program in the United States in 2022. YSEALI PFP will be implemented as a hybrid program with virtual activities leading up to the U.S.-based exchange. The program will be offered in two cycles: June-July 2022 (cycle one) and September-October 2022 (cycle two). The YSEALI Professional Fellows Program is a program of the U.S. Department of State with funding provided by the U.S. Government and supported in its implementation by American Councils for International Education.
About the Program
YSEALI PFP is a two-way U.S. Department of State exchange program designed to strengthen people-to-people ties between young leaders from Brunei, Burma, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor Leste, Vietnam, and the United States. Through intensive fellowships designed to broaden their professional expertise and enhance their leadership capabilities, YSEALI PFP provides emerging Southeast Asian leaders with the opportunity to gain first-hand experiences in, and exposure to, U.S. public and private sector offices working on a variety of issues related to four Institute Themes: Civic Engagement, Economic Empowerment, Governance and Society, and Sustainable Development and the Environment. Applicants will be able to identify their preferred theme in their application.
About the Fellows
Fellows are emerging leaders (ages 25-35) in the fields of government, civil society, or the private sector with demonstrated experience pertaining to the respective Institute theme for which they are applying. Fellows come from a range of backgrounds but must be self-directed and able to work effectively in a cross-cultural setting. Fellows must be proficient in both written and oral English.
