CCF operates in Cambodia through strong support relationship development and fundraising businesses in USA, Australia, UK, and HK. It has grown rapidly since its inception. To support the development, CCF is currently looking for the qualified candidate to fill the positions of Sponsor Communication Specialist.

Reporting to the Sponsorship Program Manager (SPM), the Communications Quality Controller, facilitates transparent communication across sponsorship department, ensures communication with sponsors is thoughtful, authentic and meaningful, promotes and improves sponsor retention and supports the Sponsorship Program Manager in developing alternative funding opportunities to increase revenue’s streams.

Position Title    : Sponsor Communication Specialist
Report to    : Sponsorship Program Manager
Key liaison    : Colleagues in US, Australia, Hong Kong and UK, Manager Marketing & Communications, Manager, Donor Relations, ED’s team, Education, Community Relations and Career’s and Life skills teams

Key Responsibilities:
Managing Communication and Development of University Fund
  • Provide strategic oversight on how the University Fund works;
  • Manage and oversee communication with sponsors & funders of university students;
  • Ensure regular reporting to University Fund supporters;
  • Initiate communication with sponsors before their child has graduated or is semi-reintegrated;
  • Report on communications, challenges, improvements and changes in the University Fund;
  • Ensure positive, authentic experience for sponsors in order to improve sponsors retention
Improving Sponsor retention
  • Work closely with sponsor engagement team to ensure welcome pack for new sponsors with an authentic, positive and engaging manner;
  • Ensure high-quality communications with sponsors and tailored to the specific situation of the student including editing biographies, first emails, and child issues communication;
  • Manage relationship with sponsors sensitively when there is child integration and appropriately promoting a continuation of sponsorship;
  • Support and provide trainings to sponsorship team in English language skills especially in written and communications skills;
  • Help Sponsor Program Manager Draft VIP emails where required.
Improve flow of communications and address issues across department
  • Work closely with relevant department to get up-to-date flow of information of student and required information for sponsorship update;
  • Deal with specific issues, problem, and challenges and keep the SPM in the loop of the process;
  • Take the initiative to get things started and picked up the slack when things are going slowly;
  • Develop the work matrix to proactively detect the potential problems and provide support to the sponsorship team on a timely manner.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum Bachelor degree or equivalent in marketing, business administration, communications, public relations or relevant field.
  2. At least 3 Experience in building successful relationships with sponsors and external stakeholders;
  3. Prior success working closely with and building relationships with donors, staff, partnerships, volunteers, and supporters;
  4. Proven track record of achieving results and ability to cope up with multiple priorities and be able to take initiative.
  5. Demonstrated ability to develop clear systems, matrix, and processes to govern work and to engage staff in using these systems effectively. Strong organizational and administration skills critical. Familiarity and competence with MS Office, Google & Salesforce;
  6. Conceptual thinking: Able to think and work conceptually, aware of opportunities and able to align and link the team with associated program activities;
  7. Collegiality: Strategically aligned with organizational goals, with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with local and off-shore colleagues to achieve  organizational objectives;
  8. Excellent Communication skills – ability to communicate effectively with all levels, representing the team and the organization professionally and clearly. Professional approach to liaising with sponsors, donors, and external stakeholders, with clarity, timeliness, organization, and efficiency.
  9. Excellent written English language skills
  10. Ability to be flexible in the face of changing priorities while maintaining a sense of humor when dealing with difficult situations.
