Cambodian Children’s Fund (CCF) is one of the leading international NGO that contribute to social development through providing life-changing education, nourishment and healing to vulnerable children from some of Cambodia’s most destitute communities with its vision to transform them into tomorrow’s leaders. This well respected NGO, currently, cares for more than 2,400 students and 10,000 people annually, helping entire families and communities in crisis through a significant array of programs and initiatives.

CCF operates in Cambodia through strong support relationship development and fundraising businesses in USA, Australia, UK, and HK. It has grown rapidly since its inception. To support the development, CCF is currently looking for a qualified candidate to fill the position of Creative Designer.

The Creative Designer will coordinate the production of visual communication content for Cambodian Children’s Fund for all print and digital formats. In collaboration with colleagues, you will coordinate, and produce design elements that incorporate our overall brand identity and project requirements for CCF’s communication needs.

Report to    : Marketing & Communication Manager
Contract    : One-year contract with possibility to extend
Key liaison    : Marketing and communications manager, founder and executive director, international offices

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide creative input into project development, advising on time and requirements as well as researching and contributing innovative ideas for design work;
  • Provide mood boards, rough sketches of conceptual work to assist in the visualization of the end-product during the planning and development phase;
  • Create style guides for projects that include typography and key visual elements to preserve consistency and quality for all designed materials;
  • Create online and offline assets. Produce print ready designs, check proofs to verify quality and correctness;
  • Develop info-graphics and statistical materials into easy to understand visualizations that communicate concepts in a visually pleasing manner;
  • Maintain and contribute to further develop the Cambodian Children’s Fund’s brand Guidelines in order to preserve quality and consistency of all design output;
  • Adhere to project and organizational communications strategies and ensure that all materials meet industry quality standards.
  • Work together with the members of the creative unit team (including photo & video) to develop outstanding, contemporary materials to drive successful campaigns;
  • Develop and manage relationships with print professionals, and maintain a directory of contacts in Cambodia.
  • Keep current and report on new design trends and technology;
  • Promote and be a role model to support organizational culture, growth, performance and image;

Requirements:
  1. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience, preferably in Visual Arts/Design.
  2. Thorough understanding concept development, especially to integrate different ideas into visual solution into a design concept and bility to develop and link project metrics to project outcomes and to articulate and promote strong accountability.
  3. At least 3 years professional experiences in designing changes and improvements throughout the development process;
  4. Highly experienced creative thinker with an openness to embrace new ideas, and an ability to take calculated risks in order to meet organizational objectives;
  5. Proven track record of achieving results and ability to integrating technical and visual solutions into a design concept;
  6. Experience producing high quality print materials and collaborating in the production of multimedia content packages and working with branding
  7. Expert level understanding of design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
  8. Strong written and spoken English/ Khmer language skills
  9. Experience and background of working in children’s context would be asset.
