Position: Senior Nurse
Location: Battambang, Cambodia
The Senior Nurse, is a specialised position that is responsible for working closely with the CCT team, local communities, and healthcare organisations to provide appropriate healthcare services (within the scope of practice) to chronic patients and beneficiaries of CCT.
Key deliverables of the role will include:
Position: Senior Nurse
Location: Battambang, Cambodia
The Senior Nurse, is a specialised position that is responsible for working closely with the CCT team, local communities, and healthcare organisations to provide appropriate healthcare services (within the scope of practice) to chronic patients and beneficiaries of CCT.
Key deliverables of the role will include:
- Assisting in the development and organisation of health and wellness programs for employees, beneficiaries, and communities
- Providing training and professional development to the Junior Nurse.
- Making regular rounds of all of the chronic patients to assess and help to manage their health issues.
- Facilitating referrals to healthcare providers in Battambang.
- Assisting patients to obtain medications and attend medical appointments at the hospital.
- Monitoring patients’ medications and blood tests.
- Providing health counselling to patients as required.
- Attending to any CCT beneficiaries who are ill
- Teaching individuals and communities about preventive medical care such as hygiene, sexual health and family planning.
- Teaching individuals and communities about preventing diseases such as malaria, dengue and diarrhea.
- Providing life skills workshops for CCT beneficiaries and local communities.
- Writing manuals on health care procedures for CCT, beneficiaries, and other stakeholders as required.
Important to the success of this role is your ability to work as part of a team, and to be proactive and responsive to emerging needs within the organisation and target communities.
You will be an experienced registered nurse, with at least 5 years background in providing nursing services.
Building relationships with your team, CCT management, local communities and key stakeholders will be an essential part of this role.
Experience working within NGO’s would be very useful.
