Pour un Sourire d’ Enfant (PSE) or For a Child’s Smile is a non-profit organization and founded by Christian and Marie-France des Pallières, was established since 1995 in Cambodia. PSE’s mission is to help the most marginalised and debrided children escape from destitution and lead them to decent, skilled and well remunerated jobs. PSE has six main programmes adapted to the needs of the children, those programmes include: food, health, protection, education and schooling, vocational training, and helping families. PSE employs more than 600 employees and provides help to more than 6,500 children and 3000 families. We are operating in Phnom Penh, Sihanouk Ville and Siem Reap. We are looking for qualified candidates for the positions below.
Food and Beverage Service Instructor (This position is fixed-term contract, based in Phnom Penh)
S/he will teach students in PSE center on hospitality and tourism sector with specific focus on food and beverage in order to capacitate and enable them to get job at the end of training. Also, s/he will prepare the session plan, teaching material and support students to do their best in learning.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Major Responsibilities
- Plan, organize conduct training
- Assess competency of Students
- Conduct restaurant operations
- Keep a good professional relationship with students
- Administration
RESPONSIBILITIES
Academic tasks.
- Conduct F&BS training at theory class
- Submits basic balance score card by weekly and monthly to hotel school manager
- Participated social activities hours settle by academic department.
- Create visual aid to teach the student adapt to lesson plan
- Organize lesson plan for theory and practice of food & beverage service training program.
- Follow ASEAN MRA-TP curriculum
- Conduct assessments of Student performance in theory and practice
- Record student’s weak points to note and pass to senior food and beverage service instructor.
- Update training methodology and materials
- Ensure Students are highly committed and motivated
- Verify compliance of Student Conduct and Disciplinary System
- Train Students at operations at both Lotus Blanc restaurants and Catering including all aspects linked to theory and practical activities
- Explain well to student their job description every section during practice and show them general regulation follow by restaurant standard international.
- Coach and train the students in practice, it’s important to correct immediately all mistakes of student in the correct way follow by student center (Main a la pâte) pedagogy.
- Be good example for students: grooming, discipline, hygiene, attitude with guest….…etc.
- Report all activities and problems in practice class to the Senior Food & Beverage Service Instructor.
- Communicate with students in English all the times during class or practice hours.
- Have all information of Students and know their attitude in order to find the way to teach them.
- Be available to let students talk about their problems and keep it confidential.
- Deal with students when they have problems before sending to F&B Training Manager.
Perform all administrative and operations duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Education Background
- Complete Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Vocational training in Food and Beverage Service, Business Administration, or related field.
Working Experience
- A minimum of 3 years professional experience specifically in Food and Beverage Service in five star Hotels or fine dining restaurants.
Savoir Fair (Technical Competency)
- Excellent knowledge of Food and Beverage Service at international standards.
- Good or better Hospitality knowledge
- Creativity, but maintain compliance with established regulations.
- Self-motivated and good interpersonal skill.
- Good or better English. French is an advantage.
- Computer literacy in office software packages (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Networking etc).
