Global Citizen Festival

By taking action on Global Citizen, you will have a chance to win tickets to this year's Global Citizen Festival in New York City on Sept. 24, 2016

What is the Global Citizen Festival?
The Global Citizen Festival is an annual event which brings together musicians, world leaders, change-makers, and you — Global Citizens!

Past Global Citizen festivals have featured some of the world’s biggest musical acts, from BeyoncĂ© to Stevie Wonder, alongside some of the world’s most influential people, including Michelle Obama, Ban Ki-Moon, and Malala Yousafzai. But the festival is more than just a concert or conference — it’s a celebration of the progress we’ve made and an opportunity to hold world leaders accountable to the commitments they have made to the world.

This year we’re holding our 5th annual Global Citizen Festival, and we’re determined to get world leaders to maintain the commitments they’ve made to the Global Goals over the last five years with the help of the 6 million actions that Global Citizens have taken.

More so, the Global Citizen Festival is our chance to show up (find out how you can #shOwup here) and use our power as Global Citizens to make the world a better place.

The free, ticketed event takes place on Sept. 24 this year on the Great Lawn in NYC’s Central Park.

How do I go?
You take action! Tickets for the concert can’t be bought. The only way to get them is to take actions through Global Citizen. Then you’ll be entered into a lottery for tickets. Winners get two tickets (one for you and one for your friend).

How do I take action?

You take action by helping us solve some of the world’s biggest challenges! In the coming weeks, we’ll be announcing via email and on our social media platforms ways for you to take action on the issues of girls and women, education, water and sanitation, and health.

So the first thing you can do is sign up to join the movement.

Every two weeks we’ll be focusing on a new issue and you’ll have the opportunity to take action and earn points. Each issue will have a variety of actions you can take — ranging from tweeting and emailing politicians to signing petitions. With every action you take, you’ll earn points and once you earn enough points, you can enter the draw. The available actions and number of points needed to enter the draw will change with every challenge, so keep checking in. (Redeeming previous points will not qualify you for the draw.)
