The agriculture sector goal in Cambodia is specified in the National Strategic Development Plan (NSDP) as being “to ensure food security, increase income, create employment and improve nutritional status for all people by improving the productivity and diversification and commercialisation of agriculture and environmentally sound protection and food safety”. The EU is financing the programme: Promotion of inclusive and sustainable growth in the agriculture sector: fisheries and livestock as a means of supporting the Ministry of Agriculture Forestry and Fisheries in implementing actions to achieve this objective. The programme contains three components: Sector Policy, Fisheries and Livestock. Each of the components is setting aside up to 25% of its total funding for grants to support the emergence of strong civil society organisations in the agriculture sector. This is the grants programme of the Sector Policy Support Component. The grants are intended to enable a variety of civil society actors to engage with government to discuss agricultural policy and development issues.

- to strengthen the operational environment and the capacity of civil society organisations to engage in national and local level policy dialogue in the Agriculture Sector
Size of grants
Any grant requested under this Call for Proposals must fall between the following minimum and maximum amounts: minimum amount: KHR3,000,000,000 and maximum amount: KHR4,308,330,000
Duration
The initial planned duration of an action may not be lower than 18 months nor exceed 24 months. In any case, actions will not continue beyond the end of the operational implementation phase of the Financing Agreement, which is 19 June 2018.
