Home Based Care Program Manager at CHEC_ Deadline: 10-Feb-2012


CHEC is a sub-recipient of the Principal Recipient / National Centre for HIV/AIDS, Dermatology and STD (PR/NCHADS) for SSF-HIV funding.  The award has been made for implementation of Home Based Care activities under the financial support from the Global Fund Grant, SSF-HIV Components. CHEC is looking for enthusiastic and experienced Cambodian nationals to fill the Home Based Care Program Manager position.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS and EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • A degree in medicine with heavy emphasis on further Health Sector study such as project management, planning, monitoring & evaluation techniques, training skills and training material development.
  • Advanced level of spoken and written English, and high level of ability to translate/interpret to and from English and Khmer.
  • At least 5 years experience working in coordinating a Home Base Care Project or similar health livelihood project or health projects.
  • Experience in teaching, conducting training / workshops, or other educational programs with adult learners in health areas is preferable.
  • A compassionate, non discriminatory and non judgmental attitude towards PLHIV.
  • Strong knowledge in health education.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must also be aware of gender sensitive issues.
  • Word processing and using of a variety of computerised packages e.g., Excel, statistics software, etc. would be an advantage.
  • Flexible, creative and analytical thinker.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to create space, listen to and hear issues raised by marginalised youth.
  • Genuine commitment to gender equality within the Cambodian context.
  • Research skills are desirable.
