Komar Pikar Foundation (KPF) is a national Non-Government Organisation (NGO) providing services and support to children and youth with moderate to severe disabilities and their families. KPF ascribes to empowering persons with disabilities and their families at all levels of decision-making. KPF also recognises the needs for specialized services and support for the more vulnerable persons with disabilities.
KPF is in the process of extending its community based services and requires a key staff member to oversee current and future projects. We are seeking a Cambodian Project Manager who will be a member of the Senior Management Team and will lead exciting new development within the organisation. The position is one year contract with possible renewal based on performance appraisal.
Main Responsibilities:
• Monitor all project sites and assist in future community participatory appraisals and evaluations
• Ensure appropriate project management, assessment and monitoring and evaluation systems are in place
• Assist in identifying staff capacity needs and foster staff development
• Ensure staff acquire essential technical skills needed for community based services and there are appropriate resources and training materials for project staff
• Undertake client screening and assessments and initiate and monitor individual case management
• Foster good working relationships with disability specialists to provide expert advice as needed
• Provide support to field staff in the implementation of their responsibilities; ensure accurate timely collection of reporting; assist with action planning and budgeting
• Ensure reports are written in accordance with procedures of KPF and donors
• Strengthen external communications and public relations
• Liaise with overseas volunteers, including students, and ensure volunteers contribute in a meaningful way to project outcomes and staff capacity building
Requirements:
• Qualifications in physical rehabilitation or community development
• At least three years relevant experience
• Proven training, supervisory and mentoring skills
• Proven administrative, problem solving and organisational skills
• Good leadership and strong communication skills
• Ability to write and edit quality reports
• Commitment to inclusion principles and empowerment of vulnerable persons
• Experience in working with government and NGO personnel
• Familiar with Government mandates relating to disability
• Experience in working in a team with multi-cultural environment
• Willing to learn more on disability and development
• Fluency in spoken and written English
• Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Email and Internet)
