Volunteer Service Abroad provides New Zealand volunteers to work with local people in developing countries. They share their skills, and together help to bring about appropriate, sustainable development.
VSA acknowledges the significant support of Nga Hoe Tuputupu-mai-tawhiti: NZAID - New Zealand's international aid and development agency. If you become a VSA Volunteer you will be working in one of 17 countries in Asia, Africa or the Pacific. Usually your assignment will last two years although some placements are shorter. You may be based in an isolated rural community with limited access to electricity and telecommunications or you may find yourself in a bustling city.
Where ever you are, you will share your skills with local people. You will work together with those people to support the work of an organisation or a community to reach their goals and bring about positive change. more
